window loses view when back button is clicked

I've attached an app.js with the smallest reproduction I've been able to put together.
When you run that app, click the "go" button, window 2 displays as expected, with the tableView on it.
When you click the back button, it returns to window 1 as expected.
When you click the "go" button a second time, it goes to window 2, however the tableView element is no longer displayed.
Developing on titanium 1.2.2 using mobile sdk 1.6.2 and iPhone SDK 4.2
